In the previous stages, you identified the four core energies as identified by the DISC system.  While recognising people's behaviour is important,  for the serious executive, simply knowing "what" is not enough.  True leadership mastery requires a transition from passive awareness to active engineering.

To navigate the top tiers of power, one must move beyond the archetype and understand the Strategic Weave The Strategic Weave:

Imagine a high-quality fabric where silk threads of different colours are woven so tightly that the overall hue appears to shift depending on the light.

It is the same with your professional character.  It is a complex alignment of your 'natural' foundation with your 'projected Persona'.

It is essential to remember this:  Not only does a single person project different personas when performing within different roles, but even within a single role, for example that of an office manager, there are very different circumstances.

Consider their different relationships — with their people, with their clients, maybe with the general public, and then there is the Board of Directors — so in these diverse situations, managers may shift their projected persona according to the needs of the situation.  In some, there might be stress, in others confidence, or authority.  Rarely is any of these personas the same as their 'natural' self.

Refer to the different scenarios below where the same person exhibits different levels of DISC behaviours, adapting to very different circumstances.  Can you relate to this?  Is it conceiveable that a person of authority tones down dominance in favour of sociability during a social event?
